Thirty-sixth Post Ever...
Hola! Today has been quite a dull day...as far as days go. I haven't been out of the house all day, and I'll I've done pretty much is read. So I kinda figured I should post about our second day in Los Angeles. Here goes nothin'...We woke up on Friday May 19, 2006 in the Lemon Tree Hotel, Anehiem California. We got up early enough so we could be at the park earlier than most. So we got to the park within five minutes of stepping in our beautiful white van.
As soon as you enter the park gates, even before then, you start to feel the Disney magic emenating from everywhere! We parked in the "Daisy Duck" section of the parking lot and headed down the escalators and stood in our first line-up, the line to get on the tram to go to the actual gates of DISNEYLAND. We found the ticket booth with no problem and mom and dad bought themselves single day Disneyland passes, and they bought two-day-park-hopper passes. (BONUS!!!) =) Then we went to our second line-up of the day, the gates of Disneyland! Once inside the Disney-ness of it all hits you like a whirlwind! There were little shops as soon as you walked in the gate, the sign that was made up of flowers that said "50" inside of a Mickey head and the famous mouse standing beside it.
Never in my life have I seen a place so meticulous about details! Everything, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING was made up to look exactly the way it was supposed to...there was no detail that went unnoticed! For example, there was a store along main street that was run like an old-school candy store, and they even used old-style cash-registers! It was AMAZING! And the people were FANTASTIC!!! They were all INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful and their costumes were amazing as well! The first thing we did was run ALL the way across the park and into "Mickey's Toontown" to meet some cousins that no one had seen in at least a couple of years! And then we stood in line (again) to go on "it's a small world." That ride was so incredibly....long and....it was just altogether amazing! All the little people looked almost real, as if they had jumped out of a high tech cartoon. It was amazing, and although the song got stuck in your head like a cork in a bottle, it was one of my favorite rides. And again, the details were amazing!
The second ride of the day was...(ok I just realized this is gonna be a really long post, so if you want to read a more condensed version, see some other people's blogs.)...The second ride of the day was the "Go-Go-Gadget Coaster" a mini roller coaster of sorts for all the SWRCB's* out there. After that we stood in yet another line-up, if you hate lines I would suggest staying away from Disneyland, to go see Mickey Mouse! It was the first real Disney character I had ever seen, besides in the movies, and it was so exciting! I know it sounds quite odd coming from a girl of my age, but it was the most thrilling thing I did on that trip, was meeting Mickey Mouse.
After getting his autograph, we went and stood in...guess what...another line! to go see Minnie Mouse, and that was REALLY exciting too, and while we were standing in this HUGE line, Dad bought us some lunch, which was VERY nice of him.
After we ate in Toontown, we went to the "Matterhorn Bobsleds" ride and rode on that, it was super fun, because it was almost like a real roller coaster, except not... Anyways, then we went on Space Mountain, that was probably the longest line in the history of lines (well no, but it sure seemed like it.) And then we went over to Adventure Land to go on the Indiana Jones ride. We were about, one third of the way through the line when a loudspeaker went off telling us that the ride was temporarily closed. We decided to go on the Jungle Cruise then, so we did....AND I SAW MY HOUSE!!! The one that I built in a little cove on the coast of Fiji; as seen here:
And then we went shopping after we came back from almost being eaten by tigers, and mauled by pirahnas, and beheaded by Indians. And then we saw several people running towards Indiana Jones, and figuring that meant it was open again, we ran. Boy did we run! We all booked it over to the ride and were in one of the little carts withing four minutes! It was THE shortest line up of our whole trip...and the ride was pretty sweet too...(again, look at the attention to detail, and thats just the lining up spot outside)
I swear, that the line-ups in Disneyland are the most devious things you ever saw! They look very short outside the building, but once you're inside, they wind and turn back on themselves FOREVER!!! It's crazzzzzy!!! Anyways, after going on Indiana Jones we went on Splash Mountain. That was the best water ride I have ever been on! It was soooooooooooooooo much fun! (but that's probably biased, since I love water rides period!) Then we went shopping (again) in Critter Country, and I bought EARS!!! (it's the thing to do in Disneyland) and then, not being able to stand being left out of the fun, Auntie Claire and Auntie Monica bought ears too!
It was lots and lots of fun buying, as Coli later stated, souven-ears! After going on "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" (adorable ride...) Auntie Kendra, Auntie Monica, Mark and family decided to go over to California Adventure and sneak in one "real" roller coaster ride before we left. So while they did that, the rest of us (the rest of us being moi, Nicole, mom, dad and Auntie Claire) had supper, and then Dad went to get the sweaters from the van, becuase we were all freezing. So when he got back we went on Thunder Mountain. (Awesome ride, do not skip it under any circumstances if you go to Disneyland) And then mom, Nicole and I decided to go on it again, because it was so fun! By then we all had really sore feet, and Auntie Claire had really sore knees, but we decided to tough it out and watch the famous "Disneyland Fireworks." You know when you see the fireworks behind the Disney castle on the commercial, and you just sort of go "WOW! I wish I could go there!" Being there is even better than you could've ever imagined. The fireworks were INCREDIBLE!!! They even had a Tinkerbell who flew around! Anyways, after that we decided, "Heck, lets watch the next one too" so we sat, and waited, and then we watched Fantasmic!!!! And the way that sounded in Spanish, was HILARIOUS!!! We laughed for quite a while over that one. Anyways, that was really cool too, but then we were really tired, so we left and went back to the hotel to sleep.

Thiry-fifth Post Ever...
GUESS WHERE I JUST GOT HOME FROM!!!I'll give you a hint...
-It's the happiest place on Earth!
(do you know yet??? Ok, heres another hint)
-There are lots and lots of line-ups!
(you still don't know! OK..one more clue)
-You can buy ears there!
Ok, if you don't know by now...you must live out in the boondocks with nothing but your bed and the clothes on your back.
I was in Disneyland! With a whole wack of really awesome people!
SO yeah...it was the most awesome vacation I have ever been on....I think...Oh well!
Dad, Nicole, Auntie Claire, Auntie Monica and I all left on the 10:40 flight to LAX out of Vancouver. *LAX=Los Angeles airport*
So we got there and we got our van that Dad had rented from Rent4Less, and then we heard that Mom and Auntie Kendra's flight had been delayed until five, so that gave us about three hours to sit in the airport....OR WE COULD GO SOMEWHERE! So go somewhere we did, we drove for about twenty-thirty minutes on a really busy freeway to Santa Monica Pier. It was soo amazing! If you have never seen a beach in California, I pity you! They are SOO gorgeous! It was absolutely amazing!
All of us except Nicole (because she was wearing runners) and Dad (because he was holding the camera) went and got our feet wet, and the water was REALLY cold. And then all of us except Dad (becuase he didn't want to) went on the Pacific Wheel. It was this really cool big ferris-wheel out at the end of the pier. And when we got stuck at the top we could so so much beach...it just went on forever...IN BOTH DIRECTIONS!
Anyways, it was auntie claire's first ferris-wheel ride, so it was really cool. We were just gonna go back to the van, when we saw this guy with a bubble machine! It was so fun...because there were bubbles EVERYWHERE!!! Like..big bubbles and little bubbles and little bubbles inside big bubbles...and yeah..it was sweet.
And then we went back to the airport and waited..and waited...and waited...and just for a change we waited some more for mom and auntie kendra to arrive...but as it turns out they had been delayed until like...9:45! So we hung out at the airport and did nothing till they got there.
But when they finally got there we were all so happy, because our vacation could officially begin because we had everyone there! Then we drove to our hotel, "The Lemon Tree" in Anehiem, and we went to bed, because we were all quite tired! And that was our first day in Los Angeles, California.

Thirty-fourth Post Ever...
Hi!I'm at HCS right now, hangin' with Stephanie, helping her find pictures for her webpage...
It's not too exciting..but it's better than sitting at home playing video games all day. And I'm done babysitting on Wednesday mornings forever now, which I guess is good...not as much money, but it was still something different to do, and I kinda got to know the kids..and they weren't bad kids! But whatever...
And I'm so excited because today is the seventeenth of May, which means that tommorow is the eighteenth, which means WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!
sooo cool....I'm so psyched...it's gonna be soooooo much fun! I'm like..freaking out...
Anyways, I have to try and figure out how to make this collage for Stephanie's front page on her webpage...so I'm gonna go now!
